St Barnabas is a popular, thriving Church of England primary school in a beautiful rural setting. Our children are highly motivated and excited by learning and they are polite and well-behaved.  Our parents are supportive of the school and work in partnership to achieve the best for our pupils. 

We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work in KS2, term time only. The working hours will be Monday to Friday 8.40am – 3.20pm (30mins unpaid lunch).

Applicants will need energy and enthusiasm, and the ability to work in a busy environment. The work can be challenging, but watching the progress of the pupils can also be extremely rewarding.

The successful candidate will:

• have an understanding of SEND

• have the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and parents

• be able to use their initiative and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability

• have a willingness to learn and take on new ideas

• have good team-working capacity

• have previously worked with children

The successful candidate needs excellent communication and liaison skills and will be closely supported by the class teacher along with all staff in our very dedicated and highly motivated team at St Barnabas.

Hours of work:               Full Time (term time only, 38 weeks per year)

Salary: £10.98 per hour - Actual salary £14.804.96 (pending pay award)

Contract type: Temporary

Commencement date: 5th January 2024
