Pupil Premium

St Barnabas Primary School prides itself on ‘caring about the achievement of all’ our pupils. Year on year our performance data reflects our high expectations and our ambition to ensure the success of every pupil.

The Pupil Premium funding received is carefully used to focus on effective approaches to raising the educational attainment of disadvantaged pupils.

Our approach aligns with the EEF's 3-tiered approach, which allocates spending across the following areas:

1. Developing high-quality teaching, for example through professional development and recruitment and retention.

2. Providing targeted academic support, such as one-to-one or small group tuition

3. Tackling non-academic barriers to academic success, such as difficulties with attendance, behaviour and social and emotional wellbeing

This approach is outlined fully in our Pupil Premium Strategy statement 2023-2024.
