Year 6 Transition
The Year 6 transition may be a yearly occurrence but it is something that never gets any easier for teachers, parents or pupils. Now it is time to focus on our Year 6 cohort and their transition from St Barnabas to Secondary School. As they have progressed through St Barnabas, Year 6 pupils have become big fish in our small pond, but all are now ready to move on to the next stage of their life; to make new friends, develop their knowledge and learn even more life skills.
Making the move from Year 6 to Year 7 is an exciting time, with lots of changes to prepare for: a new timetable, new teachers and even new friends. To help students make the move a little bit easier we’ve created some transition resources. These resources will take students beyond Key stage 2, helping bridge the gap into Key stage 3.
